Pet Scan

It was not too bad. I had to drink that nasty barium. It tastes like a watered down, sugar free, virgin pina colata. The scanning only took 30 min. Is that bad? Oh I am not going to worry about it.

Again though I feel fine. Healthy as an ox. Lexi's new word is ok. also she says I dont know.

update 3/27/08

Had the cat-scan. It was very good,the only abnormality was a ? cyst maybe the size of a grape on my right kidney. not the transplanted one. It could be maligant but my docs think it is just a cyst, as kidney failure patients get those a lot. I dont have kidney failure any more, but did. If it grows though I will see a urologist and then just have the kidney romoved.


Today I am having a PET scan. I have not eaten sice 10 pm or drank. I probably wont until 3pm, i am gonna get a head ache.

Lexi is doing great, besides a nasty cold and UTI. She will be getting her kidneys checked to make sure she doesnt have what I had.

Well a lot has happened since my last post.

Basically I got an opportunistic infection from my kidney transplant. I dont feel like going into detail of the last 31/2 months details. In essence I have an EBV infection. It was in my left post aricular node (behind ear). Hopefully no where else. they removed it. and I had a CT scan yesterday. to see if it spread. I feel terrific and am praying often. They are reducing my meds so we have to make sure I dont reject my new kidney. So this EBV thing is in a category of non-hodgkins lymphoma..but it sounds worse than it is IMO. whats is lymphoma, well really its a proliferation of lymphocytes.
So goals/prayers

It responds to decrease in meds..re no chemo
